New Mobility World 2018 – eight days of experiences, discussions, collaborations and celebrations. Together with the IAA, the NMW 18 opens with a press day and a second press and opening day, welcoming trade visitors and attendees for the remainder of the event. The FORUM program is bundled on the second four days (September 24-27).
NMW 18 Timeline
The NMW 18 takes place on the IAA trade fair grounds in Hanover. You’ll find the LIVE demonstration area in the northwest of the grounds, FORUM and EXPO in the southeast. (You will also find NMW innovations throughout the entire IAA.)
IAA Fairgrounds Plan
It’s easy to reach the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 – whether you come by car, train, bus or by air. And in Hanover all roads lead to the exhibition grounds. We have compiled practical tips and information about using the various means of transport, which will help you plan your journey quickly and simply.

Arrival by car/truck
From the North: A7 to the freeway (autobahn) intersection Hanover-Kirchhorst and from there, take the A37, which merges into the trade fair expressway (B3/B6)
From the South: A7 to the freeway (autobahn) triangle Hanover-Süd (Hanover South) and then take the A37, which merges into the trade fair expressway (B6)
From the West: A2 to the freeway (autobahn) intersection Hanover-Buchholz and from there take the A37, which merges into the trade fair expressway (B6)
From the East: A2 to the freeway (autobahn) intersection Hanover-Ost (Hanover East) and then take the A7 to the Hanover-Anderten freeway junction and from there, take the southern express road (B65) to the trade fair expressway (B3/B6)
Using a navigation system?
If you are using a navigation system to travel to the show, please enter the Hanover destination “Hermesallee”. This is the name of the street which runs parallel to the northern perimeter of the Exhibition Grounds.
Hanover Emission Zone
The IAA trade fair grounds are located out of the city’s low emission zone (“Umweltzone”) and can be reached without restrictions. Nevertheless most of the city´s center is no-go-area for vehicles without the green environmental badge (“Umweltplakette”).
The VDA is not able to issue badges or make exceptions to the rules. Driving a vehicle without a badge in the low emission zone is a traffic offense and may be punished with a fine by the city of Hanover.

Arrival by intercity bus service
The Central Bus Station ZOB is located in the Hanover city center behind the central railway station at Raschplatz.
From the railway station, the urban tram lines 8 and 18 provide frequent transportation service to the Hanover trade fair grounds (“Messegelände”, entrance “NORD 1”) with a transit time of about 18 minutes. The Central Bus Station is operated by Berlin Linien Bus, Deutsche Touring/Eurolines, MeinFernbus FlixBus, City2City und Postbus.
Arrival by Train and Public transport
Trains scheduled for Hanover arrive at the central railway station (“Hauptbahnhof”). From there with a transit time of about 18 minutes, the urban tram lines 8 and 18 provide transportation service to the Hanover exhibition grounds (“Messegelände”) northern entrance (“Eingang Nord”). During the IAA, numerous trains of Deutsche Bahn to Hanover additionally stop next to the trade fair grounds at “Messebahnhof Hanover Messe / Laatzen”.
Arrival by airplane
Suburban Railway S5: All year round from Hanover Airport – S- Railway Station (situated between terminal B and C) to Main Railway Station by local railway connection (S-Bahn), travel time 12 – 15 minutes. From Main Railway Station to the Exhibition Grounds, entrance NORD.
Airport shuttle bus: During trade fairs, shuttle busses operated by B.F.M. Incoming & Traveller Services GmbH provide regular service between the airport (terminal C) and the Exhibition Grounds (entrance WEST 1). Baggage service and pre-check-in counters for B.F.M. you’ll find at the Exhibition Grounds, entrance WEST 1.
There is barrier-free access to the entire IAA grounds. Parking spaces are available for less mobile visitors, and toilets for the disabled are provided. Wheelchair users and visitors to the trade fair whose ID card is marked “B” are entitled to free entry to the IAA for themselves and one attendant, upon presentation of appropriate official ID at the cash desks.
