A new platform for an exchange between the automotive industry, the digital economy and startups: The VDA’s New Mobility World Digitaltage (Digital Days) will be held for the first time on 27 and 28 June 2018 in Berlin.
Automated and networked driving, carsharing and multimodal transport platforms will shape urban mobility in the future. Next-generation cars are more connected than ever. This development is accompanied by increasing customer demands for comfort, functionality and digital services. With the increasing speed and complexity of this transformation, it is important to stay on the ball and to set the course for others. An open dialogue and cooperations with innovative companies that one can trust are important elements of the automotive supply chain in future.
The New Mobility World Digitaltage is another platform of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to accelerate the exchange of ideas at all levels in the automotive industry and the digital economy. Since 2016 it has become easier for young companies in the digital economy to become members of the VDA and to make use of the association’s various offers.
This new event format by the VDA will take place for the first time on the 27 and 28 June 2018 in Berlin. Experts from the automotive industry and representatives of the digital economy will meet to discuss the future of mobility, automotive business models and networked factories.
VDA President Bernhard Mattes will open the New Mobility World Digitaltage. Luigi Ardito, Director of Government Affairs at Qualcomm, will present the keynote. Afterwards, representatives from Continental, door2door, EBK-Krüger, Susi & James and the IFA-Group will discuss cultural aspects of cooperation between startups and industrial companies during the “Speed Boat Vs. Tanker”-session. The second day of the event will be opened by Falk Bothe, Director Digital Transformation Office at Volkswagen, and Stephan Brand, Head of IoT Moving Assets at SAP. This will be followed by workshops on digital business models for the automotive industry, smart factories, cybersecurity and data access for vehicles. The workshops are designed by companies from the automotive industry, the digital industry and startups.
