The NMW18 is catering for every mobility need you might have. Do you want to be inspired by experts on stage? Head over to the FORUM. Do you want to see how things work? Check out LIVE, the outdoor demonstration area, that lets you experience the road traffic of tomorrow. Or head over to the EXPO area to experience brands, the newest products and services as well as meeting future customers and partners. Here’s a short intro to some of them already, so if you’re at the NMW18 make sure to go over and introduce yourself 🤓

1. MAN
The journey towards zero-emission mobility poses a series of challenges to transport companies, fleet operators and municipalities, which go beyond the vehicle itself. The conversion of an existing fleet to electric buses places high demands on fleet management: the establishment of charging infrastructure, operational planning and much more.

Find out more about this process in person as MAN is part of the guided tours, offering a presentation on alternative powertrains at their booth. Their Head of Alternative Drives, Felix Kybart, will offer an overview, especially on their eMobility strategy.

2.  Eforce One

EFORCE develops complete solutions  which entail many components of electrically-powered vehicles. This includes modular and scalably deployable batteries, intelligent battery management systems (BMS) and powerful engine concepts. They adapt these components individually to precisely fit the specific performance profile of the respective vehicle and field of application. In addition to the development work that happens internally, EFORCE also support other companies externally with the development of their e-mobility projects.

At the heart of EFORCE trucks beat the modular lithium-ion batteries that were specially developed for this type of vehicle. They are liquid-cooled and connected to the air conditioning system of the vehicle, which means they can be actively heated or cooled. Depending on the size, the batteries allow for a range of up to 350 km and can be fully charged overnight (in 8 hours, 20-100%, charge over AC). Fast charging via DC (according to CCS standard with 800V) shortens this charging time to an hour or less, depending on the size of the battery.

3. Aptiv

Aptiv is a global technology company that develops safer, greener and more connected solutions enabling the future of mobility. Headquartered in Dublin, Aptiv has 147,000 employees and operates 14 technical centers, as well as manufacturing sites and customer support centers in 45 countries.
