Rightware & Audi Showcased Android Integrated Infotainment System

By Editorial Team on June 15, 2017

Rightware and Audi showcased a new infotainment system at Google I/O. Powered by Kanzi UI and Kanzi Connect, the user experience offered by the Audi Q8 sport concept is seamless and enhanced by the new range of services available.

Audi specialists used Kanzi UI to develop an interactive user interface with a clear and neat design. Kanzi Connect enables the coordination of three isolated operating systems controlling separate instrument cluster, HVAC (cooling and heating) control, and infotainment displays to provide a seamless and unified user experience. The seamless integration of Android will allow Audi drivers to benefit from new features and services such as Spotify, Google Music and Google Assistant. The navigation map continues to use HERE database but the drive can also choose to navigate with Google Maps.

“Audi confides in Rightware’s user interface and connectivity tools once again, with the Q8 sport concept showcar,” said Alfons Pfaller, Head of Infotainment & Connected Car, Audi AG. “Kanzi Connect enables seamless integration of the multiple displays and operating systems, with the latest runtime engine now able to render high-definition 3D maps in the instrument cluster.”
